Our principles
Sports for everyone.
Aspire Sports is for the kid who's never touched a ball, the adult returning after twenty years away, and every player in between. These are the principles that govern how we run our programs.
① Skill, not status
Programs sort by skill — never by who you know.
Travel-team politics, "the right club," gym memberships passed down — none of it applies here. Our placement decisions use age, skill, and player preference. That's it.
② Beginners are welcome
New to the sport? Start here.
Most programs include a beginner pathway. Coaches lead with fundamentals. There's no test to pass before you can join — only a spot to claim.
③ Every player gets coached
No bench-warmers as a strategy.
Every registered player gets meaningful playing time at their level. We don't run programs where kids pay to watch from the sideline.
④ Cost shouldn't be the gate
Talk to us if cost is a barrier.
We offer payment plans, and we have limited-need scholarships. Email hello@aspiresportsohio.com and we'll work something out. No application essay, no public record.
⑤ Identity is not a debate
Players choose how they're addressed and grouped.
Every player — youth or adult — has the right to be addressed by their name, their pronouns, and to play in the league or division that fits them. Coaches are trained to respect these choices without commentary.
⑥ Accommodations on request
Disability, neurodivergence, medical — we'll meet you where you are.
Tell us in your registration notes or email separately. Our coaches adjust drills, pace, and team placement to fit. Programs that aren't appropriate get a clear "this isn't the right fit" rather than a sink-or-swim experience.
