Weigh in before the match
Private, one-on-one with the coach. Takes 60 seconds. Your data stays with you and your team.

Play a proper match
6-a-side, two halves, one referee, genuine competition. Not a fitness class with a ball.

Earn Drop Goals from your week's progress
Weight lost becomes bonus goals added to your team's match score. Hit a milestone — earn more. The app calculates it automatically.

Climb the table
Final score = pitch goals + Drop Goals. A team can lose 0–3 on the pitch and still win. The table reflects everything.

Adults BMI 27.5+
The BMI floor keeps the environment comfortable and the mechanic meaningful. It's checked at registration and that's the last you hear about it.
Two separate divisions
Men's on Mondays. Women's on Wednesdays. Separate tables, separate teams, same rules.
All skill levels
Teams are operator-assigned and balanced. Plenty of players are picking up a ball for the first time. No prior soccer experience required — or expected.
The Scoring System
Drop Goals can flip any match.
A team trailing on the pitch can win on the table. Here's how the numbers work.
The Bolthorns

The Bolthorns win 6–5 — despite trailing 2–4 on the pitch. Four Drop Goals sealed it.
Team Bonus
0.5 Drop Goal per player who recorded a loss that week — up to 5/match.
Milestones
Hit 5% or 10% from your season-start weight and earn a one-time +3 Drop Goal bonus.
Hat-Trick
Three weeks of progress (non-consecutive) earns +1 Drop Goal. Up to 4 per season.
Drop Goals are calculated automatically from weigh-in data. Coaches enter only the pitch score.

Common questions.
- Who can join Drop League?
- Any adult with a BMI of 27.5 or higher. BMI is checked at registration using the height and weight you provide. Men's sessions run Mondays; Women's sessions run Wednesdays. No soccer experience required.
- What if I miss a week?
- No weigh-in means no play that week. There are no retroactive entries. Sessions are weekly and fixed all season — the schedule is set from day one.
- Do I need to know how to play soccer?
- Not at all. Drop League is built for people who want to get active in a structured, team environment. New players find their footing quickly, and teams are balanced so no prior experience is expected.
- What does the monthly membership cover?
- Your weekly session, a certified referee, the private weekly weigh-in, Drop Goals scoring, and access to the league table and your own stats. Everything included in one monthly membership.
- Can I join mid-season?
- No — seasons start together so every team enters with the same baseline weight and the same number of weeks on the clock. Registration opens before each new season.
- How does the weigh-in work?
- Before each match, players weigh in privately with the coach — one player at a time, behind a screen. Your weight is never announced, posted, or shared. Only the bonus goals your team earns appear on the table.
